Food, conclusion

somethingwithrainandbows:

So after some reconsideration, i’m not vegan anymore (you are allowed to snigger, i don’t mind ^^) Not because it was too hard but because my goal is to eat healthy and eating vegan is not the way to do that (though you can have a healthy vegan diet but that’s a different point). Still mostly vegetarian though, not that it’s your problem :P
I’m baptising myself ‘sensible eater’.

Which means i only eat stuff that know the origin of completely, that is produced in a an acceptable manner, that is healthy, and that i understand the (preferably short) ingredients list of.

A lot of veggies, a lot of beans, a lot of grains, a lot of seeds, lots of nuts, some dairy, some fish, some sweet stuff, very little meat and very little junk food.

PLEASE, no vegan hate comments about how ‘i don’t get it’. Trust me, i’ve probably done a lot more research in the last two weeks about food than you have in your entire life. Non hate comments and questions are, of course, welcome :)

I just wanted to write on the #animal rights tag about how I realize that a healthy vegan diet is possible yet I have decided to go back to supporting the exploitation of animals. You know, because that has everything to do with animal rights.
